Using the "Include" Strategy

The INCLUDE strategies are used for teachers to help differentiate instruction for students with needs. This link provides worksheets that help teachers stay organized throughout the INCLUDE process. For example, using Worksheet 3 would help teachers record observations of a student's strengths and needs which would help them identify accommodations or modification processes later.

"RTI is a process that schools can use to help children who are struggling academically or behaviorally." (NICHY.org). This section of the NICHY website outlines RTI- a recent addition to special educational laws. Schools monitor students who are at-risk for learning difficulties due to behavioral problems. Students receive differentiated instruction on different levels and learn problem-solving skills.

- This app is useful for people who may not have verbal communication abilities. This app allows the user to choose pictures that translate to words/phrases to express language to others. The app encourages vocabulary among many categories.
- Technologies include: mobility, positioning, feeding and bathing, and early computer programs that assists children at an early age.
- A device that tracks eye movement to access PCs for those who are incapable of fine-motor operation.
